It took several visits to the Manchac area and attending multiple organization meetings to fully grasp all the goals of this group. In the end it was clear we needed to tell a story with their logo.

Maintaining the unique flora of the region was a priority and is represented by the leaf shape. Wildlife preservation was also important to their mission. For this the state bird of Louisiana, the pelican, was depicted. Two lakes that border the greenway play such an important part at keeping this all healthy and needed to be highlighted.

The interaction of all these elements both in the logo and in real life play out in harmony fitting to the mission of the organization.
