Napier to Tarawera. Ghastly. Very, very ghastly. Did I mention rain before? Well, today it rained constantly. Throw in a little drop in temperature and some really big hills and you spell FUN. Today just had to be the day we chose to climb up onto the central plateau. Luckily, near the end of our day (ordeal) we found a small restaurant to warm up in. Their walls were proudly ordained with pictures of snow stranded vehicles and general road carnage -- clear documentation of what we were dealing with....
