Tuatapere to Manapouri. Much better day. Heading due north along the edge of Fiordland through rolling farmland -- and down here at least that means sheep, lots of sheep.

Striking mountains rising out of the west as we climb northward. Manapouri turned out to be a great reward -- a tiny town tucked into the jagged edge of Fiordland.

Just a petrol station, a small shop, and a few houses. Sat on the shore of Lake Manapouri and watched the sun set over the mountains.
